Koikatsu to Blender to Unity to VRM Virtual Youtuber 3D anime avatar models Koikatu コイカツ ILLUSION

Extracting 3D characters from Koikatu H-game using BepInEx mod and PmxExport.dll to export PMX model to Blender for Cats Blender fix then generating FBX model to Unity3d then converting to VRM model for Vtuber application. This video is a brief overview of the procedure and showing you the possibility of ripping models from Koikatsu for VRM virtual youtuber purposes, or for any other purposes like; for using the 3D character models generated from Koikatu’s in-game avatar creator for use in Blender to work on.

An elaborate process of conversion from Koikatu model to ultimately VRM models. For VRCHAT you only need the FBX model in Unity and uploading through Unity with the use of VRCHAT SDK module package installed. No need to convert from FBX to VRM using UniVRM if your doing for VRCHAT.

I’ve never used VRCHAT before as I don’t have VR equipment yet to try it out. Cats Blender was made to ease the character model transition from Blender to Unity for avatar creation in VRCHAT, as you can upload your avatar through Unity.

This virtual youtuber video was purely presented via my VRM model in a vtuber app.

Transitioning models from Blender to Unity and making a usable VRM model for vtubing. This takes time, trial & error, and experimenting. It’s not a complete smooth sail as you’d stumble and get stuck along the process of making it. It requires some basic Blender skills, basic knowledge of general 3D character model structure (mesh, bones, material, blendshapes, shading, texture, plus eye tracking and visemes) and knowing enough about Unity to convert anime character brought in from Cat’s Blender. Basic Photoshop skills, etc.

Half of the material covered by this video is just me demonstrating my small Unity game project ran in real-time inside Unity to showcase my model. I walk and run to where my model characters were placed around in the 3D environment that I made in Unity.

I don’t intend to make games. I am only curious on how all this works.
